Tiếng Việt Have you ever wondered about that question? Many customers use 3G SIM cards but do not distinguish between these two terms. Or perhaps there is no clear concept of SIM usage duration and promotion expiry. To explain this question, we can simply explain it as follows:
The difference between the promotion period and the 3G SIM card usage period
Promotion period: is the time customers enjoy the SIM's promotion from the day the customer activates the SIM package. Usually, it is 12 months. After 12 months, the customer's SIM returns to normal status and no longer enjoys the initial package promotion. Charges will be calculated according to the network operator's charges.
Cheap Viettel 3G SIM cards get 10GB/month x 12 months high speed
SIM usage period: is the minimum time customers must use the SIM once. Usually within a 60-day cycle, as long as the customer recharges, makes a call, or sends a message, the usage day will be automatically extended. Otherwise, the customer's SIM will be recalled. Customers should note this to ensure their benefits.
SIM promotion cycle:
Is the monthly cycle that customers enjoy promotions according to the network operator's regulations.
Currently, network operators divide promotion cycles differently depending on each type of 3G SIM cards.
Calendar month cycle: is a cycle calculated from the 1st of one month to the 1st of the next month. This means customers who activate the SIM on any day of the month will be counted as 1 month.

Example: A customer activates the SIM on March 20, 2019. Until March 31, 2024, it will be counted as 1 month.
Activation date cycle: is a cycle calculated from the activation date to the end of 30 days. It defaults to a new 30-day cycle. With this cycle, customer benefits will be better guaranteed.
Example: A customer activates on March 04, 2020. By April 02, 2015, it will be a full 30-day cycle and will be extended to a new cycle if the customer's account is eligible.
